Peer support for dads

You’ll find a forum for fathers in many of Denmark’s neonatal units and in the healthcare service.
Here, you can find stories you can relate to from other dads of premature babies.
Peer support for dads helps create a sense of familiarity, understanding and community, as well as the chance to build a network with other fathers.
You’re likely to meet other dads who share your thoughts and challenges while also learning more about what you can expect to experience.

The texts for ‘Dads of premature babies’
were created collaboratively by first-time dads of premature babies, doctors, nurses from neonatal units, public health nurses, and the Child, Maternal and Family Health Care research group in The SUPPORTED study project, which aims to foster a more father-inclusive culture in a family-centred context within the healthcare system.
